Celebrating

Project Angel Tree

On Sunday, October 17, 2004 our church focused on the Criminal Justice System as we celebrated Project Angel Tree. Project Angel Tree is a ministry of Prison Fellowship designed to provide gifts during the Christmas season to the children of those who are incarcerated.  The gifts are only symbolic of church's seeking to share the love of Jesus Christ with the families of inmates.

Under the leadership of Jay Stabler FPCI has participated in Project Angel Tree for several years. This year with your support, we hope to go the extra mile. Recruiting families/individuals who will adopt Angel Tree children for Christmas gifts usually occurs during the month of  November. Last year our Angel Tree families were invited to worship with us during December and were presented their gifts during a special Fellowship Hour.

The Rev. Yahya Bayyan, Field Director for the Central Region of  Prison Fellowship was our guest speaker.

"I was in prison and you came to visit me"  Matthew 25:36

We may never have the opportunity to visit those who are incarcerated; but there is one thing we can do, reach out in the Love of Jesus Christ to their families.
